Institute of Analogue Circuits and Image Sensors

Ours is the Institute of integrated analogue circuits and image sensors (ACIS) in University of Siegen, headed by its chair, Univ. Prof. Dr. Bhaskar Choubey, FIET.

In Greek mythology, ACIS was a romantic mortal in love with nereid Galatea. Our happy hour on ACIS describes more background on him - if you are not interested in circuits.

Though we do not conduct research on Greek mythology or romantic stories, Acis was the inspiration of numerous painters and sculptors over the years. We push this agenda by making better digital cameras to record these paitings and create more by conducting research on CMOS image sensors.

Our research page provides details of our research background and current activities. We also study other Analogue Circuits and Microelectromechanical systems. Our recent research also delves into Artificial Intelligent Systems, particularly their hardware implementation using Memristors and their application in finance and business.

Our first batch of research assistants joined the chair in October 2018 with the second batch starting in 2021. We are always looking for good graduate students as well as local bachelors and masters students, who would like to work as student assistants or intern in the field of circuit design. Write to us at acis@eti.uni-siegen.de with your details, if you would like to work with us.
