Graduate Research Assistant (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L)

We offer a full (100%) position of:

 

graduate research assistant (m/f) 

(Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L)

 

at the Ubiquitous Computing group for a duration of three years, in the DFG-funded research project 'PervaSafe'. 

 

Your tasks:

 

  • development and design of a wearable sensor system to be worn by control room operators in their daily work,
  • validation and evaluation through user studies of a wearable assistant in actual control rooms environments,
  • software development for real-time detection and analysis of gesture and vital sign analysis from multimodal sensor data.

 

This position is fully financed by a research project financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and delivers a perfect framework and will provide support to pursue a PhD.

 

Your profile:

 

  • finished university degree (Diplom or Master) in computer science or a related discipline, 
  • experience in embedded systems and wearable sensorics, and in evaluating said systems in actual deployments,
  • programming expertise in C and Python, able to write in LaTeX.
