Meeting with the Acting Indian Consul-General, Ms. Ruby Jaspreet

Ms Ruby Jaspreet, Acting Indian Consul-General, visited Siegen on July 10th 2019 at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Bhaskar Choubey. Ms Jaspreet, who was accompanied by Education Officer and Social Secretary to the Consul General, Ms. Mridula Singh, recounted possibilities of cooperation between the University of Siegen and the Indian Consulate. The Acting Consul-General later discussed ways of attracting more Indian students to Siegen university with Prof. Dr. Peter Haring-Bolivar, Prorector for Research, and Prof. Dr. Hanna Schramm-Klein, Prorector for Cooperation, International Affairs and Marketing. This was followed by a speech on Indo-German Economic Relations at the 10-year CICD anniversary celebration held in Artur-Woll-Haus. The day was rounded off by a lively interactive meeting with Indian students where student-related issues were discussed. Ms. Jaspreet and Dr. Balasubramanian Ramani of Leibniz Unviersity, Hannover, informed the students of the outreach activities and networking opportunities on offer.
