Technology ReAdiness Process for Consumer Electronics (TRACE)
Maintaining leadership in todays technology and economy requires intensive use of state of the art electronic components. Products designed for the consumer market are not directly suitable for the automotive market. The transfer of such components into an automotive qualified stage is time consuming and cost intensive. This leads to a significant delaying introducing innovative components into the market.
In this project, OEMs, 1st tiers and 2nd tiers, together with research institutions and universities, cooperate to define a smooth path from consumer to automotive qualified components.
