Analoger CMOS-Entwurf
Unsere Hauptforschungsinteressen liegen im analogen und Mixed-Signal-CMOS-Schaltungsdesign. Wir entwerfen CMOS-Bildsensoren und zugehörige Schaltungen, einschließlich Datenwandlern und Leitungstreibern, wobei ein besonderes Augenmerk auf den anwendungsspezifischen Bildsensoren, einschließlich Bildsensoren mit großem Dynamikbereich und Hochgeschwindigkeits-Bildsensoren in Standard-CMOS-Technologien liegt.
Wir haben logarithmische Imager erforscht, die den unterschwelligen Bereich von MOS-Transistoren nutzen. Diese Bildwandler komprimieren das Eingangssignal, ähnlich wie das menschliche Auge. Die Erfahrung mit diesen Pixeln hat uns ermutigt, neue Designs mit geringem zeitlichem Rauschen zu untersuchen, was letzten Endes zur Entwicklung eines neuen Pixeldesigns geführt hat, mit dem beliebige Übertragungseigenschaften zwischen dem Eingangslicht und der Ausgangsspannung erzeugt werden können. Dies hat uns in die Lage versetzt, Bildverarbeitungspixel zu entwickeln, wobei eine besondere Anwendung das Tone Mapping ist, wodurch Bilder erfasst werden, die direkt auf dem Bildschirm mit geringem Dynamikbereich angezeigt werden können.
Unsere Forschung beschäftigt sich mit der Herstellung besserer Kameras für spezielle Anwendungen, insbesondere für die Hochintensitäts-Strahlentherapie. Darüber hinaus arbeiten wir an der Integration von More-than-Moore-Strukturen, wie plasmonischen Filtern und Terahertz-Resonatoren in Bildsensoren. sowie an intelligenten Bildsensoren für die Verkehrsplanung in dichten städtischen Gebieten. Auch dier Verringerung des Datenoutputs der modernen Bildsensor-Generation gehört zu unseren Forschungen.
